In 1995, the first sapling of Axiom Ayurveda was planted at Ambala Cantt, Haryana to deliver pure and hygienic Ayurvedic products. Axiom reached newer heights by introducing new segments, with a rocking success of AloFrut in Indian as well as international markets. Aiming bigger expansion, Axiom setup a new greenfield plant at Jammu in 2023. With the objective of better utilization and expanding the product portfolio, Axiom came up with a flexi CAN line requirement capable of handling carbonated drinks, plain fruit RTD, and fruit RTD with chunks. A perfect solution was designed for a flexi line handling cold fill (containing gas), hot fill (fruit RTD), and hot fill with chunk/pulp dosing.

The Challenge
Flexi CAN line requirement capable of handling carbonated drinks, plain fruit RTD, and fruit RTD with chunks/pulp. The key constraint in setting up the second CAN line was space for installation, which was overcome with a vertical setup: CAN storage and de-palletising on a mezzanine floor at 4.5 mtr height. Required handling of 3 CAN sizes: 185ml, 250ml, and 330ml.
Our Approach
Perfect hygienic design of equipment, together with careful hand-shaking of the process and filling equipment, was key to successful hot-fill products with fruit pulp, achieved for continuous commercial production of the AloFrut range. First canning line of 7,200 CPH delivered and commissioned successfully in 2023, handling 185ml, 250ml, and 330ml CAN sizes. For the 2024 repeat order, the key constraint was installation space, overcome with a vertical setup: CAN storage, de-palletiser, and related conveyors on a mezzanine floor at 4.5 mtr height, giving a 13.2 mtr empty-CAN vertical travel from de-palletiser through rinser to filler, fitting the complete 24,000 CPH line within 620 sq.m. The line achieved pressure-free feeding of empty cans without any damage from de-palletiser to filler infeed. Each empty CAN is inspected by a camera-based ECI. International energy drink brand HELL is produced on this line with 250ml pack size. RAPIDpas tunnel pasteurizer fulfills strict PU range 750-850 at 70 deg C. Complete project execution within 5 months including designing, supply, installation, commissioning, product trial, and team training.
